Licensing
- The default license for all Cascading source and binaries, no action necessary.
- Redistribution of derivative works only allowed if derivative work is GPL v3 licensed. Note, charging for GPL-licensed derivative works is not restricted by GPL or Concurrent.
- GPL v2 is available on request, but is considered incompatible with Apache v2.0
Concurrent Community Use Binary License
- Provided by Concurrent on purchase of Developer Support, renewed yearly.
- An alternative to the GPL for those companies whose policies prevent the use of GPL licensed code internally. Redistribution is not permitted.
- Based on the “SpringSource Community Use License Agreement”
Concurrent OEM License
- Provided on signing of the Concurrent OEM Agreement and payment of relevant fees, please contact us for details.
- Allows redistribution of Cascading embedded in derivative products and removes GPL restrictions.
- Provides Intellectual Property Indemnification and Production Level 3 Support.
- This is how we fund continued development.
Concurrent Community Distributable Binary License
- Allows redistribution of both open source licensed and ‘free to use’ user-facing applications, but does not reciprocally allow redistribution of derivative works. Only applies to distributed binaries, not source code.
- Granted to select open-source projects on a case by case basis, please contact us for details.
- Base on the “Zimbra Public End-User License Agreement,” Version 2.3
